Connectivity - COROS and CORE sensor
COROS watches display:
- Realtime display of the core body temperature
- Maximum core body temperature
- Minimum core body temperature
- Average core body temperature
When an activity is complete in the summary data and the core body temperature graph can be viewed in the COROS app.
Compatibility
The CORE sensor is can be paired with with COROS PACE 2, APEX 42/46mm, APEX Pro, VERTIX and VERTIX 2 watches with the firmware from January 2022 or newer.

COROS and CORE Sensor Set-up Guide
Ensure you have the latest apps and firmware for both the CORE sensor and the COROS watch. When starting the set-up, the CORE sensor should be charged, shake it and check that it is on (green blinking lights) and keep it close to the COROS watch.
STEP 1 - Pair Heart Rate Monitor
Pair your Heart Rate Monitor to your CORE. This is essential for using the CORE sensor for sports for the best accuracy. The CORE needs to be paired to an ANT+ heart rate monitor and at this stage does not pair directly to the COROS heart rate monitor over bluetooth.
Step 2 - Bluetooth Pairing
On the COROS watch, go into the watch menu:
System > Accessories > Add Bluetooth
The watch will usually quickly find the CORE sensor which can be selected and paired.
Step 3 - Setup Data Fields
A) Open the COROS App and select the COROS watch. Choose "Workout Data" and then the activity where you would like to include the CORE data fields.
B) In the bottom menu (far right) you can add data fields:
• (Realtime) Body Temperature
• Max Body Temperature
• Min Body temperature
• Avg Body temperature.
C) Save and Exit
Setup is now complete
Activities with the CORE sensor
Tip: Wear the CORE sensor 10 minutes before starting an activity so that it can adjust and recording accurate temperature when you start the activity.
When starting a new activity, the data fields on the COROS watch may initially display --,--. Typically within 15 seconds, the coros watch will then display the core body temperature data.
Activity Summary
After an activity, the watch displays a summary with the average, maximum and minimum core body temperature from the activity. In the COROS app, a graph of the core body temperature data during the activity is available and can be clicked-on to expand and overlay other metrics.
The COROS watch does not yet record the core body temperature data to FIT files - the temperature data is only available on the COROS watch and App. As such, TrainingPeaks cannot display core or skin temperature metrics from activities recorded using a COROS device.
COROS Notes and Tips
Bluetooth
The CORE sensor and COROS watches connect via bluetooth. The CORE sensor allows two simultaneous bluetooth connections (for example, the COROS sensor can connect to the CORE App and the COROS watch).
In the case the CORE sensor is not identified, it could be connected to another device. Disconnect or turn off the bluetooth for those to 'release' this connection.
